Artist Andrea Durfee has been a longtime inspiration to me. In January 2021, she asked me whether I’d be interested in being a model/muse for a new collection she was working on. I’d never thought of myself in that role before, but I set up a makeshift bedsheet backdrop in my childhood bedroom (home during the pandemic) and experimented with modeling for the first time. Andrea saw something in me long before I ever did.
